There is a camaraderie that is rooted in a common enemy instead of a covenant friendship. But fellowship rooted in warfare is fueled in hatred not forged in love.
When covenant is absent in community, society always has a "us and them" mentality because the people's bond is rooted in a common foe. In other words, there is a need to have an enemy for their friendship is based on who they are against.
But true covenant is not rooted in a common struggle but in mutual love, therefore covenant needs no enemy for it lays down it's life for a friend.
I believe that covenant will carry the kingdom places conferences have failed to impact.
