I arrived on March fourth as a returning student for Catch The Fire’s School of Ministry’s Revelation Module ready and eager to experience more of what God had for me in this season. Before arriving I had asked God to stretch and challenge me, no longer interested in remaining comfortable now knowing the importance of a willing and open heart. God had brought breakthrough in my life while I was a student for the Heart Module. He broke off fear and I began a journey of walking as a daughter who knows her identity. God went beyond my expectation while daily I fell in love with Jesus as I pursued His heart. I soon discovered that God was committed to the desires of my heart; He was interested in getting to know my heart just as I was hungry for more of Him.
"I am now able to see God for who He truly is."
Returning to Toronto for the Revelation Module was not what I had first planned when I arrived in September for the Heart Module. I had thought I would return home after my five month journey and then apply to University for a career in education. God gently revealed to me the plans He had for my life which were always the desires of my heart. Holy Spirit brought back to life the dreams I had within me that were forgotten about due to insecurities. I am now able to see God for who He truly is, as well myself and those around me.
I felt the pull on my heart to return back to School of Ministry as Holy Spirit began to remind me of Isaiah 55:8-9:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth,so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (NIV).
"We are able to find our peace in the arms of Jesus regardless of the challenge"
I chose to yes to God and to not lean on my own understanding, rather commit myself to seeking first His kingdom in whatever decision I make. I decided to return for the revelation module with the intention of diving in deeper.
"Allow Him to pursue you while you pursue Him as well"
Honestly, choosing to make the decision was a challenge however, through the challenge God was able to show me a greater revelation of His faithfulness . I learnt what it meant to say yes to trust, and no to worry. God began to speak to my heart and I discovered the importance of finding a place of rest during the circumstances you may face. We are able to find our peace in the arms of Jesus regardless of the challenge, we have the choice to ask for His leading while we grab ahold of His hand.
My desire is to pursue God’s heart and to discover more of who He is each day. I want to encourage you to join me on this journey of responding to God and encage with Jesus within every area of your life. Allow Him to pursue you while you pursue Him as well. I am ready for the adventure that God has for me and I am excited to share with you more about my time here throughout the weeks to come.
